It was a ghastly evening of family, fun and food when more than a 100 parents, students and staff braved the dark night to attend King's BooFest. Greeted by eerie scenes designed by Mr. Pettit's 8th grade Set and Design students, guests entered the library and found not only the abundant Scholastic Book Fair, but also the shrieks and screams of Halloween. Games and prizes filled the night and storyteller Jeff Gere made sure we were afraid...very afraid. Small tots were safe though with Ms. Chan's National Junior Honor Society students and their happy crafts and stories. The evening ended with a hearty dinner for all. Then came the walk...the walk past the dark banyan tree, under the rustling leaves...it felt as if someone was watching you...
Makana, Cera, Leia and "friend" were glad to see you. Hope you can join us at our next family event.
Story teller Jeff Gere called up the ghosts and ghouls that go bump in the night...
